I bought this brand of resveratrol because Dr. Martin's has a good reputation and good prices. There are, however, other reputable sources for resveratrol. The following brands have been tested by the independent Consumer Lab, and approved as not containing contaminants and containing the amount of Resveratrol they advertise: Bulk Supplements Country Life Doctor's Best Dr. Whitaker Finest Nutrition (Walgreens) Life Extension Life Smart Labs Longevinex Pure Encapsulations Puritan's Pride ShopRite Solgar Spring Valley (Walmart) Trunature (Costco) Vitacost Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin World Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant which is found in many foods, most notably in raw cacao, peanuts, berries, red grape skins and pomegranate. Resveratrol belongs to a family of compounds known as polyphenols, and it is a primary healing agent found in herbs which are known to nutritional scientists as "adaptogens." These herbs act to support the immune system and prevent degenerative diseases. Examples include turmeric, rosemary, ginger and green tea. Research has indicated that resveratrol is anti-inflammatory, which is a crucial benefit since inflammation has been found to be a direct cause or contributor to every major disease, including heart disease, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders such as arthritis. It is capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, which means it has the ability to moderate inflammation in the brain. This makes it capable of preventing and helping mitigate the ravages of Alzheimer's and improving cerebral blood flow, which is good news for preventing stroke and dementia. Resveratro has also shown significant promise in preventing and healing cancer. The mechanism by which it has an anti-cancer effect is this: It helps prevent the formation of enzymes which trigger tumor development, and it helps reduce the out-of-control cell division of "immortal" cancer cells.

Gave me ass piss. Ass piss is where you piss out of your ass. Not conducive to getting hot babes

This makes my face break out whenever I try it. So, even though it's great for my heart, I don't take it. I don't notice any other difference in how I feel when I take it. I took it for over a month, thinking it was just a detox symptom and the acne would go away, but as long as I took the resveratrol it continued. It improved within a few days of stopping it and was gone within a week and has not returned ... unless I take resveratrol again. So - not for me.

I didn't know it was for pain. Recommended to help with bloodwork numbers as a friend took it and the results were amazing. His bloodwork numbers were awesome. His doctor suggested he take this.

This is one of the best values in resveratrol I have found. I trust this brand.
